Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition

Does anyone know what the cutoff for Top 100 was this year? I am wondering because the cutoff, combined with Top 100 statistics from previous years, might be a good predictor for the minimum score needed to achieve a Bronze award or higher. I would expect the Top 100 cutoff for this year to be lower than last year’s, since Part 1 and Part 2 both seemed harder in 2006 than in 2005.

For math-type stuff, I would use the www.artofproblemsolving.com site. There isa Michigan subforum (which you’ll have to pm a mod to join). Theres pages and pages on the MMPC.

I’m not sure if this year’s top 100 cutoff has been released (the MMPC page just has lists of the top 100 and remaning 100 in the top 200.)

You’re probably right - part II this year was much much harder than last year.

u think so? i thought the first few problems were easy, but the problem is, i didnt kno how to format them properly, so the way i proved them were probably not how they wanted it. anyway, i think that last year’s was harder.
