Michigan Merit Aid (Ross)

Hey I was wondering if UMich at Ann Arbor gives full rides to out-of-state applicants. I know there is the Shipman scholarship, but does that apply to Ross?

I am going to be a high school senior next year. My stats are 2400 sat, 800 math 2, 800 chem, 790 us history, 5’s on 6 AP tests , full load of AP courses, many extra-curriculars and leadership positions in them, internship, summer jobs, 2 time state champion in debate.

I hear they give 1 ross preferred-admit a full-ride.

The Shipman scholarship doesn’t apply to any particular major. It’s for all undergraduate students. There are recipients who are in Ross.

Oh, I see about Shipman. Thanks. So I guess my question would be, if I wanted to go to the Ross Business Program, would I be able to get a full merit-based scholarship?

To CollegeBound-07 do you know where I could find out more about that?

There are many merit-based scholarships at UM. Some, like the Shipman scholarship, have nothing to do with your choice of major, school, etc… Some do. I’m in the CoE, where there are scholarships awarded to students in the CoE. I’m not familiar with the equivalents in Ross, but the information is almost certainly on the website.

That said, these scholarships are extremely competitive, and only a few are offered each year, so it’s never set in stone, no mater how good you look.
