<p>So I got into Michigan as a transfer student. I just found out about one of my other options today(UVA) and I still havent heard back from Chicago. I told Michigan this and they didn’t give me any type of extension – not even until the 15th(which is what other schools have done). Now im forced to either pay the deposit today or drop Michigan completely from my list. I know there are people on the waiting list but I think this policy is very inconsiderate to transfer students who applied to different universities.</p>
<p>Michigan obviously isn’t your first choice, so if you aren’t sure, hang on to UVa and decline Michigan until your first choice gets back to you in a couple of weeks.</p>
<p>if you got into uva, i’d just drop michigan from the list.</p>
