I am studying Chemical Engineering at The University of Toledo and am considering transferring to MSU. I currently have a 3.1 GPA. I applied last year and couldn’t get into the program because I was missing one prerequisite (EGR 102, a freshman level concepts of engineering class). I was told that I was admissible, but not into the major I wanted. If I transferred into say, chemistry, would I be able to take EGR 102 as a chemistry major and then transfer into chemical engineering or do they not let people do that?

There is no equivalent to EGR 102 at UT. I am currently a junior with about 80 credits done.

Thanks
