@imogenr Hi, I’d be happy to tell you about our experience. I have one there now in the HC, and my D20 was just accepted. We are out of state, however, so that may make a difference. DM me if you want to know the details.
Finally, my DS received his Honors College letter in snail mail yesterday. He received the Honors College scholarship of $13k, on top of the previously communicated Non Resident Spartan Scholarship of $17.5k and Presidential Study Abroad Scholarship of $5k. That was a nice Christmas present!
Hi there, so did you guys get admitted to the honors college with just a regular application? Do you have to apply to be a part of the honors program or if you meet certain standards are you automatically admitted?
See question above. Would like to know more of the process to apply for the scholarships earned.
At least in our case, there were no additional applications needed/submitted for the Honors College + multiple merit scholarships…
Hi guys, I found out I got into MSU today. Also apparently I just found out that MSU never got my FAFSA somehow even though I sent it I’m pretty sure, but I sent it now for sure, so will that affect anything regarding my aid since they will received my fafsa after I have been accepted, I’ll still recieve aid hopefully, right?
@Maherkhan – MSU’s deadline for the FAFSA is March 1st, so I would assume you are OK for financial aid. I have no idea what the timing is for merit scholarships, but assume they are tied to admissions stats and not the FAFSA. (My S received merit scholarships and we are not eligible for or seeking need-based aid.)
