micro word

I have to write a paper. I don't have Word, because I never really needed it except once or twice before, so I had a trial dl. The trial expired forever ago, and I can't re-dl it, and I'm too poor to go buy Word. Any other Word-esque programs anyone know of that I can download? Please :)

wordpad in accessories under the start menu

Open Office (or NeoOffice, if you have OSX). Both free, and fully compatible, just remember to save everything as a .doc.

Look here

Maybe here

Totally here

I, like, totally do not work for any of these sites. I am just trying to be nice.

If it's a simple document (just text), then Wordpad will do the job, but take a look at OpenOffice - it's a full office suite comparable to Microsoft Office and it's free and open source

There's always LaTeX :-)

Open Office

Open Office will create files that are totally compatible with Microsoft Word files. It is pretty much exactly like Microsoft Word except it is free.

Many schools do provide copies of MS Word (and the rest of office) also if you ask at your computer center. schools buy huge amounts of licenses for it. That's how I got mine...

Or you could just go type the paper at the library or any other place your school provides computers for your use. Those are all gaurunteed to have it on them.
