<p>Given that I’m going to graduate later this year with a degree in microbiology and having taken only “chemistry for life science majors,” what is the best way to learn organic chemistry to a level that is on par for organic chemistry/pharmacology lab technician positions?</p>
<p>Organic chemistry isn’t something that you can just pick up or learn easily by your self. If you weren’t able to take o chem in undergrad I would suggest taking 2 semesters worth (with labs) at your local community college or state university. You can talk to your future employer about your deficiency in o chem and let them know that you plan to take the necessary courses. Biochemsitry isn’t as necessary as o chem because it is more specialized, though it would help you in the long run to take that course as well.</p>
