I need to choose between these two for fall 2018, College of Engineering
What made you choose these two specifically? Also, I think both these laptops are powerful enough for engineering tasks, as well as aesthetically pleasing. It really comes down to whether you are more comfortable with the Surface Pro or the Surface Book. I personally do not like 2-in-1 laptops, and would never go for either of these options, although I did consider the Surface Book at one point. Price wise, it just doesn’t make sense, when there are stronger, cheaper options.
I’ve always really liked the Surface line, mostly because they receive software update preference for Windows and just work really well. I was leaning towards the Pro for it’s pen input and OneNote capability, but I couldn’t ignore the GTX 1050 in the Book 2.
