I’m looking for a private school on the east coast as a match/low-match/safety, but to which I would have great FA (almost no loans)

family income: $20,000 / year. no major assets.
SAT: 2080 first try, aiming 2200+ in the fall
ECs/work etc: very good

I was initially thinking either BU or GWU, but realized they use lots of loans and I would rather stay in-state than get into debt. Any advice for me?

The schools that tend to fulfill need with no loans are in the top tier. They are not safeties. Go to the financial aid forum and look at the stickies at the top about good merit aid.

^ well I’m in california but I was looking for a private low-match / safety with amazing FA and no loans, since I already have the UCs and a good community college as back-ups. However I now realize that no such a safety exists for me. I’ll aim either for the top schools with no loans, or just the public ones.
