Mid year report required for review ?

it says “your application is complete” but still I haven’t sent in the mid year report and the certificate of finances.
Are these required for the review of my application ?

Thanks !

No you can send them after admission

Thanks a lot @Bored1997‌

You should validate this with the admissions office, just send them an email and ask for sure.

As per common app, HMC (and all IVYs + some other top schools like CMU, MIT, CalTech) want Mid Year report to evaluate regular decision applicants.

Yep, that’s true. However, thay gave this message on the top in green saying “your application is complete and ready for review” before I sent in my mid-year. However,I’ve sent it in now. So everything’s chill. Thanks for replying though !

Pretty much all schools say that before the mid-year because some schools don’t have mid-year reports available until early February, since different high schools are on different schedules. But they still generally want the mid-year report before they make RD decisions. I did assume you were international, since you were providing a Certificate of Finances, and wasn’t sure about that, which is why I thought you should email admissions and ask them. Since they are not need-blind for international students it is probably realistic to assume they also need the certificate of finances, though. Like I said above, you should ask them to be sure, unless you have already sent both.

Thanks for the reply @intparent‌ .
Oh I provided the Certofocate of finances yet, but many others like Maryland, UT Austin and I guess Umass, Amherst don’t want it untill you’re admitted.
I’ll still email the admission to err on the safer side.

Thanks again for your reply!
