My grades are 3.7 GPA, but senior year they have slipped to a 3.3 but I am taking very rigorous courses. The colleges are asking for Mid-year reports, I am very afraid that they will hurt me. My grades though have slipped because of work and robotics. I am also very involved in school activities and volunteering. So my question is should I be nervous about the Mid-year reports and if this will affect my submission should I send a letter explaining my reason of why they went down?
As a drop off in GPA in senior year is not considered favorably, a letter cannot hurt. Did you have a notable increase in working hours?, Why? How did your robotics project go? Explain your experience.
Good luck!
Yes my hours are about 25 hours per week and robotics club takes up 15-20 a week…so a letter would be favorable right?
What was your SAT/ACT score? Definitely send in the letter-the drop in itself is not that huge and normally, colleges ask for the mid-year grades to ensure you are not slacking off, however, considering that you are still waiting on most of the schools, sending in low grades might hurt your changes, therefore, do explain!
