Ok so 1039 ED apps from last year so probably something similar. That makes more sense!

To clarify, 1039 represents the number of ED applications from two years ago. This is for the combined number of ED1 and ED2 applicants, for which the acceptance rate was 42%.

The press release says “Early Decision applicant rounds showed increased interest in Middlebury,” but didn’t specify numbers. I think last year, Middlebury made the decision to not disclose full application stats until after RD decisions were released. We’ll learn complete ED 1 and 2 numbers in March.

Did you ask anyone at Midd about a Preview Day for admitted students? I think you said you might ask?

S24 received a welcome gift from Midd on Fri: a Midd themed “Skida”. He loves wearing those for skiing and was excited to learn that Skida is a Midd alum’s business!

It’s not a preview day, but I did get an invite for a middlebury admits zoom meet for next Thursday!

I did actually ask our admissions person as I realized they are prob in charge rather than the orientation people but he never wrote back!

How much of that was for the Fall versus February?

Maybe just Fall? I am actually not clear on how that works with the CDS. But according to this:

The College expects to enroll about 640 students in September 2022 and about 120 in February 2023.

So the 639 in the CDS would line up with that 640 expected in that announcement.

I note that article says they admitted 1502 RD, versus 1205 from the CDS. So that makes sense, in that they would need to admit more RD to get the 120 for February too.

I think that the CDS may have been just the Fall students, not the Febs.

Does anybody have any info on when the Middlebury Admitted Student Day(s) will be held?

Can’t find anything on it for 2024, which is strange because we have the dates for all other schools we applied to
 Hope we can get the dates soon because our coming weekends are filling up and we’re already seeing conflicts.

On the accepted students Zoom, they announced it would be Monday 4/15.
