I am a senior and applied RD to these three schools. I would play volleyball at all three of them and have been in contact with the coaches, I want something thats challanging academically, which i know they all are (although Hamilton’s probably the least out of the group). I know all about the academics at these three schools and the programs they offer which is why I applied. But I also know I don’t want to die of bordem because they are in the middle of no where, and if the school doesn’t offer parties and things to do every weekend, I don’t want to repeat highschool and look for something to do on weekends.

So out of these three schools, what one has the best nightlife, which one is the preppiest and which one do athletes like the most?

well most of the NESCAC’s (bowdoin, bates, ham, midd, williams, amherst, ect) are pretty remote, and thats the league I want to play voleyball in (because they don’t condition in the spring). But i’m open to suggestions.

O.K. … I guess you ruled out Wesleyan? Too lefty loosey? Or Amherst, which is a lot less remote than your 3 and gives you a consortium community.

Outside NESCAC, there’s Haverford (close to Philadelphia) or Davidson (close to Charlotte). Then there’s the Claremont Colleges (close to each other). Do none of these schools have a manageable volleyball schedule? If not, I guess you have to choose your compromise. They’re all about equally good academically.

I am actually considering Weleyan but haverford is only 1100 students which I have decided is just too small. As for the other you mentioned, I’m not sure. I don’t mind if a school is in the middle of nowhere, I rather it be that way actually because with a small school I think it encourages students to stay on campus during the weekends to get to now each other better. I am just unsure if these school provide things to do on the weekends or if the only get togethers on the weekend happen in study halls or libraries.
