Middlesex seems to be the school that gets the least good press in the popular GLADCHEMMS acronym. Is that because it is small, but then again, so is Groton. Is it not as rigorous? Its acceptance rate at 19% is near Exeter’s 18%.

Middlesex doesn’t seem to get as much attention on this website as some of the other “top schools.” There have been a few users on CC who were Middlesex students who did talk a bit about MX.

To answer your question, MX is just as rigorous as the other “top schools” in that unfortunate acronym. It’s known for its academics.

This is probably the most likely explanation of the fact that MX doesn’t get that much “press” on this website. Groton doesn’t get that much either, I can only remember one CC user who went to Groton.

middlesex is an awesome school and their english program is especially well-known. just because a school doesn’t get much “good press” on CC definitely doesn’t deem it inferior/mediocre. if you want more information on middlesex i’d PM izzybusybee (i’m not sure if that’s the exact spelling of her username, but she’s a pretty frequent poster, it’d be easy to track her down.)

DiveAlive is right. You should PM Izzy Busy Bee. She’s sure to be helpful
