Anyone have a NOLA local resource for a care package delivery this week? One that is functioning post-Katrina? I know that Dining Services offers Snack Attack and other packages and could call them. Anyone know if the brownies are yummy?

Nancy’s Corner in Metarie. They did a birthday package for my son last year that he enjoyed. www.NancysCorner.com

Thanks, along. I had forgotten her name and website. Called today - so helpful, very reasonable in price. Lots of options and they’re just willing to “mix and match” and customize what you want. Hope it’s yummy.

As a side note, we chatted about how things are going for her post-Katrina. It wasn’t Nancy, herself (her home was fine), but her niece. Niece’s home was totally lost (in Metairie), but she is rebuilding. By coincidence, today was demolition day when the home was taken down. Her plans are ready and they are starting to rebuild; kids are in school as of January. They are building high this time (garage/carport under, I think).

Somehow, it’s important to me to check in with people in NOLA - whenever I’m talking with them - to see how things are faring for them.

I’m from NOLA. It’s nice to have reassurance that people are still interested in the situation down here…very nice
