Midyear Report Question

“if i have a grade for first quarter (sept - nov) and a grade for second quarter (nov - jan)”

Do they already have your first quarter grades on your transcript? If your report card does not list a semester grade (with is kind of what they are looking for), I would enter the second quarter grades as they appear on your report card, and note that you are not assigned a semester grade. If they do not already have your first quarter grades, mention those in your note as well.

got it. thank you very much!

Where do deferred students put a note to continue to express interest?

additional comments?

From Libby’s Blog (advice to the deferred):

“I find myself giving the same answer to everyone, because it is applicable for everyone – do as well as you can in what is left of this semester, and continue to express interest. You can express interest by writing us a nice note in your midyear report, which will be available online in January and due on February 1. The midyear report – either online or in the form of a new transcript from your counselor – is required. It is your signal to us that we should re-read your application.”

Can I just manually average my 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, and midterm grades together?

1st quarter was super good and 2nd quarter was. . . eh. . . yeah. . . and since 1st and midterm contribute it seems to make sense to do so.

2 classes have semester grades (half year courses) and the rest do not.

Oh God.

so if we dont have our semester grades yet just dont fill it out yet?

yeah it’s purportedly due feb. 4 but they’re gonna keep it live until march for schools who send out grades later…found this on the uncommon blog, there’s a link from the uncommon app w/ faq and everything
