This might only be of interest to us who are from the Michigan area, but very sad news. I had so hoped we could win one more trophy for him. He has done a TON to try and revitalize Detroit when so many others just walked away.

So sorry to hear this. Prayers for his family. RIP, Mike, you were one of the good ones.
He did a lot of under the radar things for Detroit and the surrounding (poor) Detroit suburbs. I know he gave money quietly to the sports org I used to work for in order to provide funds for kids who couldn’t afford to play.
It’s definitely a blow.
In a dumb move, I have been reading the comments on stories about him. I have yet to see a negative one. It’s a rare person that can have that said about them.
