Millennium Scholars Applicant Discussion Thread 2017

Hello,
I applied for Millennium for 2017 and wanted to see if anyone else was applying.

Bump…

Hi! I also applied to the program. So far, I have not seen any other threads discussing the Millennium Scholars Program (MSP). Hopefully this thread will become more active - I am also curious to see who else applied.

@KG5APR
Your stats look good, especially considering that the MSP emphasizes math and science courses/scores when reviewing applications.

Sounds like the top 100 will be notified within 2-3 weeks. It’d be nice to hear from some other MSP applicants before then.

When are we supposed to hear back?

Early February is all that is listed on the Millennium website.

@TheWeatherman Is it starting early February or by early February?

@KG5APR Invites for the top 100 finalists will be sent out early February. In late February, there will be Interview Weekend at PSU for those 100 finalists. There, the 100 will be narrowed down to 40 or so.

Just got an email today telling me that I’m a finalist!

@Elton Congratulations! I’m still waiting to hear…
