Milwaukee Hotel Suggestions

We think S will be attending Marquette in the fall. I would like to make reservations now for move in day and Parents weekend. We will probably be traveling with our 11yo daughter so a suite would be preferable, but not absolute.

We stayed at the Ambassador when we toured Maquette. It’s 2 blocks away plus they have a free shuttle if you want to go out to eat or to the main downtown area. It’s a lovely old, art deco hotel, with beautifully remodeled rooms. If you tell them you there to for Marquette, they’ll give you a fairly good discount.

When we visited Marquette a couple of summers ago, we stayed at the Courtyard that was connected to the mall. There was a parking garage associated with the mall. THere was also a food court. I think there is also a Residence Inn on the other side of the mall. The mall is on Wisconsin Avenue, just a few blocks from the university, so very convenient. We were able to put the three of us in the room at the Courtyard, and you should be able to do the same at the Residence Inn. Residence Inn usually gives free breakfast, courtyard does not. I don’t know why I chose Courtyard, it seemed it would be closer, but I think the Residence Inn was just around the corner, so I would see which has the best rate. Also advise to join Marriott Rewards program. Easy to earn points and free rooms, which comes in handy when one has to go back and forth to campus for Parents Weekends, fall and spring break pickups, as well as move in and move out days. Congratulations on Marquette. Excellent school!
