<p>It’s okay. I got a 1800 and am going to attend this fall and major in AEM at CALS. So I’ll give you a run down of my own stats:</p>

<p>SAT II: None</p>
<p>Rank: 16/694 (Top 3%)</p>
<p>GPA: 3.92 UW; 4.62 Weighted</p>
<p>AP Exams: WHAP (3), APUSH (3), Psych (2), Cancelled Lang</p>
<p>Senior courseload: AP Cal AB, AP Stats, AP Lit, AP US Gov, APES, PAP Computer Science, College Financial Acct, College Microeconomics, College English 1301 </p>
<p>Volunteer Experience (at the time of application): Over 400 hrs. with various organizations not to mention being a part of a mentor program at elementary and being a geometry & chemistry tutor during high school</p>
<p>Leadership Positions: Pres/Founder of African club; VP of FBLA; Officer of NTHS, VP of LULAC, Member of BPA, NHS, StuCo</p>
<p>Work experience: Part time Sales associate at Famous Footwear (2 years)</p>
<p>Also had a great relationship with counselors and teachers alike so they wrote amazing recommendation letters; even had a UPenn professor write me a rec that did mission work with me for 2 summers.
CommApp essay was very personal and about how essentially no one in my community seems to go for distinguished schools (i.e. Ivy’s, Stanford, or Duke) but instead settle for St. schools
Supp essay was a personal story about basically a lifelong, transformed desire to study economics & business</p>
<p>Honestly, if anything, I’d say it were the recs, essays, and extracirriculars that got me into the school. I believe if you show a school how passionate you are for your studies and how you are going to utilize the education you’ll get from there, then they will be more than happy to welcome you to their campus. So don’t give up and keep pushing through, kid. Hope to see you in Ithaca.</p>
