Minimum requirements for internships?

I could understand about the gpa, but certain companies like merrill lynch diminish the field down to only the top of the top applicants by taking into the SAT scores into consideration? Or is this not true?

1350 is not that strict.

I would refuse to work at any company that has any SAT score requirement.

“Welcome to the Merrill Lynch Graduate Application Form - Europe and Asia Pacific”

I’m assuming you’re applying for the ML in Europe and Asia.

That’s the first time I’ve seen an SAT score requirement, especially since it’s for full-time positions and not internships.

1350 (I’m assuming this is based off of the old 1600 scale) is not strict, but it eliminates many people who would perhaps have applied for these positions. Most people applying probably took the SAT’s 4 or 5 years ago, so it makes little sense for these to have any impact now.

3.5 gpa is prob more strict than a 1350

I think this is just for people who have not yet gone to / completed college, in which case it would be fair.

I am currently a sophomore. Since I am uploading my resume on a company’s web site to be considered for an internship, shall I include my SAT scores then?
Thank you!

i would only include if they ask for them specifically, or you scored >=1500
