Was wondering if anyone knows what the minimum requirements are for UCLA as well as the admission statistics for last years applicants. Thank you

There are no minimum requirements except recommendations for the number of years you should spend in a particular area [Math, Foreign Language…etc]. GPA and SAT ranges can fluctuate and the number of AP’s taken differs from person to person.

No matter what, you should make an effort to do the best you can do if you want to apply to a college like this and not shoot for the bare minimum.

From http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=168941 :rolleyes:

Thank you

Also now it says 1 yr of an elective required is Visual Arts or HEalth an elective?

From what I remember

Visual Arts = yes

Health = no

I think that basically anything from the A-G list will count as an elective so long that it is in excess of the minimum number of years stated.

The minimum requirements are the same for all of the UCs and are posted on the UC pathways website. It’s important to know though that ‘minimum requirements’ doesn’t equate to admission. Some UCs are more selective than others and will require more than the minimum to be competetive. UCLA is one of the most selective of the UCs.

for example… the minimum UC GPA to be accepted for UCLA is 3.0 i believe, whereas the average admit had 4.27. huge difference there.
