I read this article and it made me think of a different discussion on here about how different parts of the country don’t know each other very well. These kids stay local but live for a week with families that they may not otherwise engage with very often. The local families enjoy the experience as well.

Hmmm, how about an exchange program between Atherton and North Fair Oaks? Or perhaps the various neighborhoods of Baltimore, Chicago, or Milwaukee?
