Does anyone know of any interesting camps, internships, research opportunities, or programs in Minnesota for high school students?

If you’re African-American, I highly recommend the Carleton Liberal Arts Experience. Best week of my life.

if not, I reommend the Summer Writing Program also at Carleton. It’s not free, but there is financial aid available.

If you are interested in the environment, the Pathfinders program at Northland College is amazing. It’s in Wisconsin, but it is very close to Duluth, Minnesota. And the price ($550) is a real bargain in the world of summer programs.

There was a great article about it in today’s Sunday Duluth Herald Tribune.

If you are interested in languages, Minnesota is, of course, the home of Concordia Language Villages, and you can study Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, Swedish, Finnish, etc., etc., etc., starting a new language or perfecting your skills in the language you are taking at high school.

Yup, MITY ( Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth) They have a few programs here and there…

Agreed with MITY. Also try the ITCEP summer programs

(which will announce program details later this school year).
