<p>I am a Rising Senior who plans to earn a Masters Degree in Economics and a Bachelors in PoliSci.
Looking at the US News Rankings for Grad School I see that Minnesota has one of the best programs, however does the UT name outweigh the Minnesota rank?</p>
<p>If you’re instate for UT, I’d say you’re better off with UT since Minnesota is supposedly going to raise their OOS fees soon.</p>
<p>It is still unlikely that Minnesota will double their fees to be about the same price as texas. Texas is probably the better option regardless though</p>

<p>Those are grad program rankings. I wouldn’t pay much attention to them for UG especially since you’re comparing UT to Minnesota. Btw, many well respected Econ grad schools admit from a wide range of well respected institutions, many of which would never show up on the Econ rankings.</p>
