<p>The minor is 15 hours:</p>

<p>Prerequisites to the Academic Minor: Mathematics through differential equations: MATH 216 or its equivalent, and PHYSICS 140/141, 240/241, 340/341, and 390. [side note: Physics 140/141/240/241/340/341/390 qualifies you for a physics minor]</p>

<p>15 credits:

  1. No more than two Introductory Courses from this group:</p>

<ol>
<li><p>Introduction to Astronomy and Astrophysics: ASTRO 160 (preferred) or 102 or 112.</p></li>
<li><p>Introduction to the Solar System: ASTRO 101 or 111.</p></li>
<li><p>Core Courses: at least two courses chosen from among: ASTRO 361, 402, 404.</p></li>
<li><p>Electives: Remaining credits can be selected from ASTRO 399, 401, 403, 405, 406, 427.</p></li>
