<p>Unless the professor is a total dick, he or she generally don't care whether or not you leave early. This isn't high school; they understand that you're an adult and know how to take care of yourself. That's also why they won't hound you and force you to go to class - they assume that you understand the consequences of missing class. It's your decision.</p>
<p>Perhaps if you notified your professor on the first day of class that you have to leave early on a regular basis, that would be safe.</p>
