MIS or Econ?

Would it be better to major in Economics or Management Information Systems for job prospects?

I am interested in business and technology. I hope to get an MBA to work at a company like Apple, Google, Facebook, etc.

The MIS program at my school is ranked in the top 20 in the nation, while the Economics program is unranked.

Which would be better for solid work experience out of college?

Judging from the coursework described at the University of Minnesota (https://onestop2.umn.edu/pcas/viewCatalogProgram.do?programID=55,) there is a lot of information technology and other practical business stuff in that major, so that it should open more job doors than Economics.
