Misdemeanor charges for a death at Cornell

[Four Charged in Connection to George Desdunes '13 Death | The Cornell Daily Sun](http://cornellsun.com/section/news/content/2011/05/06/four-charged-connection-george-desdunes-13-death)

Very sad. As a parent I feel for all; the parents who lost there son, and the parents of the defendants. Kids to stupid things that sometimes kills someone or paralyzes someone ( '85) . As a Cornell alum, I remember big frat keg parties that were fun, we were invincible.

“Also in March, six freshmen who were pledging SAE when Desdunes died left campus. Administrators and former SAE members declined to say whether the students faced disciplinary action or left campus voluntarily.”

I would pull my S from campus in a heartbeat.

Wow, they slabbed the frat kids with (only) misdemeanor charges and yet the guy was killed. It certainly is sad for all involved. I wonder if this will go to a civil siut once there is a federal conviction.

It is all so tragic. One life lost, and other lives destroyed. Such a waste. I am curious as to what exactly happened–what did the charged individuals do and not do. Knowing that would be helpful and may help save a life down the road.
