The prompt is “Should we fund classes that explicitly teach creativity?” And I didn’t see the word “explicitly” until I was too far in… so I wrote how and why creativity is important and how we should have classes that indirectly help/increase creativity (music, etc), and I think I mentioned explicitly at the very end of the paper when I realized, and I was just wondering will this affect my score too much (estimates?) I thought my paper was golden (best ever) until I saw that word… Thanks!

Please respond? My OCD is bothering me. Thanks. What’s the highest score I can get even though I did this?. Thanks.

If the response does not answer the prompt, but rather goes around it, then it’s around 4-5 if it’s written well. It’s okay, you might just be a bit paranoid but I seriously misread that question big time and probably got a 2…

Thanks, I think I realized and tied it together at the end, but I might be wrong…

If you wrote it in the right way, it might be taken that you qualified the prompt and said there should be classes that teach creativity indirectly instead of directly. Otherwise, you’ll probably get around a 4-5 on that one provided it was written nicely. Don’t worry too much, as long as your close reading and synthesis were good, you’ll still be well within 4-5 range. And even if not, one bad AP test won’t mean the end of the world. I encourage you to relax, as there’s nothing you can do now, and you’re going to be fine either way.

^I agree. Depending on how it’s written, it may come across as you answering the prompt with a “No, we should teach classes that indirectly help creativity.” One bad essay may not even screw you up; I thought I did horribly on the rhetorical analysis essay on the 2013 AP Lang exam and ended up with a 5 on that exam.
Some of the best advice I can give to someone freaking out about AP Exams is to relax about them. I don’t know if it’s because I’m already in school, but I couldn’t care less about this year’s exams. (Junior year I was freaking out. Too much.)

Off-topic exams are capped at 4.

I got a 4 of the exam! (I was aiming for a 3!) :)
