We received an email saying “Congratulations you daughter was accepted.” Yet, when my daughters login to the portal it says they were waitlisted.
Did anyone else receive this combination?
Could it be that she was waitlisted for financial aid ?

It was a system error from Miss Porter.
We had this happen at a day school several years back - very upsetting but thankfully only I saw the initial accept, daughter saw just the subsequent wait list. Fine print read that when there is a conflict, the written letter is the official word. Is this so common that schools have written a rider to cover this? Pffft
