Missed Call from Student Financial Services?

I recently, while going through my call logs, realized I missed a call from a New Haven area code on November 20th, while I was in school. I called back today, and found that it was Yale Student Financial Services: when I asked about the phone call, the person whom I was talking to entered in my Yale ID into the system, then asked me if I was a new student(which I didn’t really understand how I could be a new student in November), and then told me that she had no way of knowing why the office would call me.

Am I missing financial aid information? I had previously had a mixup with documents, but the Yale office confirmed that I had turned everything in, and that was days before they called me. Is this potentially just an accidental call?

Thank you for any help or advice one can give. I just want to make sure that all of my potential documents are turned in, as it is crucial for QB.

I think that if the call had been made regarding something truly crucial for the financial aid application, the office would have also sent an email about it, and they would have had the info about it in your files.
So I guess they really did phone you accidentally.

@aposnova : Thanks for the help!

I am just very confused because my area code/phone number is pretty off the grid and thousands of miles away from New Haven, CT; otherwise, I would be sure it was an accidental call.

Also, when the lady entered in my Yale ID, shouldn’t she have seen that I am an applicant and not a new student, or is that information not privy to them?

Bump.

It also might not be from the school. Don’t share any personal data with them–too many scams.
