Missing a prerequisite. 2 terms off course. Grad check coming up. Will I get kicked out of my major?

Math is not my strong suit and I have a hard time focusing on it for extended periods of time. I failed Precalculus last semester and dropped it this summer because I was doing poorly and the professor was the worst person I had ever met in my life (ex-marine; made students cry on a daily basis). Anyway, I know I could have forced myself to study more (at least read the book) and now I am seriously kicking myself.

Precalculus is the last of 8 prerequisites required for my major in ICT (Information Communication Technology) at Florida State University. Somehow, I was able to register for and attend upper-division classes in my major for the last two semesters without passing Precalculus and I have done well in all of those classes, even the programming ones involving math. My issue is that I now have 2 registration holds because I am more than 2 terms off course in terms of completing prerequisites, and I have to submit a grad check ASAP. If I submit it now, will I get kicked out of my major for not having completed this class with a C- or higher? Registration just opened back up for Fall and I am not able to register for anything until I submit a grad check. Should I try to study really hard for the next few weeks and take the CLEP exam for Precalc before I submit my grad check? How seriously is the “more than 2 terms off course - have to switch majors” policy enforced?

Plz help. I don’t want to be forced to switch my major.

I guess no one can help me? Does anyone at least have an opinion on this?
