Missing class for college visit...

<p>Hey all, quick question here…</p>

<p>Next Friday I’m scheduled to fly into Waco, Texas to visit Baylor as a transfer. The way I got my flights booked, I’ve got to leave around 11am on Thursday, which means I’ll miss 3 classes. </p>

<p>I’m not concerned out missing the days content/ lecture, I have enough resources where I can get that information after the fact.</p>

<p>My real question is how do I tell my 3 professors why I’ll be missing class? I really don’t want to tell them I’m visiting another college (as my transfer plans are far from being set in stone), as they may react negatively to that. But also, I’d hate to lie/ be overly vague about why I just suddenly decided to go to Texas for a Thursday and Friday.</p>

<p>I would just be honest with them – tell them you’re visiting the schools as a prospective transfer student. If you’re really concerned about their reaction, you could stretch the truth and tell your professors that they offer a major your current school doesn’t, which is why you’re checking out their campus… (but yeah, I’d stay honest)</p>
