missing last week for college visit?

Okay, I know the title sounds bad, but I applied to a university’s “camp” that’s three days in length and is basically both an open house for the university and a career exploration combined. Unfortunately, it coincides with the last week of school… I’m a junior by the way… Do you think this would be possible? I applied and planned for it last year, but my school district found money to add a few days to the school year, which run into the camp. I know my school excuses three days for college visits, but its the last week… would it be possible to take my finals before I leave if I ask my teachers? advice??

It seems reasonable to me that you should be able to do this, especially since it sounds like you applied before your school year was extended. I would let each of your teachers know about it, and ask them what you need to turn in or complete prior to being gone those days. I wouldn’t actually ask their permission. I would just politely let them know that you will be gone at a university program, and find out what you need to do before leaving. Just give them plenty of notice (like, talk to them now), then remind them a couple of weeks before, and I bet you will be fine.

Yeah, it sucks cause we were scheduled to get out the first week of June cause the last week was supposed to be furlough days, but then they added another week somehow.

bump! 10char

I agree that you should be able to do it still. You planned it well in advance so it shouldn’t be a problem just let your teachers and maybe your guidance counselor know
