Missing the "Exploring College Options" Penn Meeting

I’m feeling kind of bad because I just clicked on the link above this topic concerning the “Penn in Your Town” meetings, and it gave me the impression that these meetings are super important.

I R.S.V.P.d yes to the meeting but was REALLY sick (can’t-get-out-of-bed sick), but I couldn’t find any contact info to tell them I was sick, so I was basically just a no-show. I’ve visited Penn, and my school also had a college fair (I visited their booth), so it wasn’t for the information as much as it was just to show up.

How important are these meetings? Is it a huge deal, and should I feel awful?

These meetings are not important. They don’t keep track of who comes, who doesn’t, and who stood them up. Don’t worry about it at all!

I went to one last year in the Houston Marriott I believe, and honestly they don’t really tell you anything special or ask your name or any of that. If anything, on the Q&A section you do get a chance to ask some specific questions, but it’s nothing you couldn’t ask any of us or mail the regional admissions official.

don’t worry about it at all
