Mississippi State vs GT vs UGA

In case anyone was curious, I enrolled at GT. I’m confident I made the right choice for me. The debt will be manageable and can be offset somewhat by working when I can, including the summers. I’m not worried about losing my scholarship. Yes it might happen even though I have a strong work ethic. But I won’t let fear of failure keep me from trying. If it happens, I’ll deal with it. Worst case scenario would be that if I lose the scholarship and can’t afford Tech, then I transfer to the smaller state school near my house and live at home. But I’m expecting to be just fine. Go Jackets!

Congrats. Smart choice. I think you would’ve looked back and said “maybe I should’ve given GT a chance”.

I’m assuming you’ll be in Scheller? If you went to a decent HS that prepped you for college you’ll be fine. I mentioned earlier my son flipped from Scheller to ISyE. He wasn’t nearly as stressed from Scheller. I think as long as you put in the effort you’ll be fine. They have a really good international business program.

If you have some AP/IB/dual enrollment credits that transfer you could graduate in 3 years. I know a lot of people say “stay 4 years and enjoy your experience”. That’s great if you’re not taking on debt. Good luck.
