Hey Guys,

After I sumbitted my supplement essay for an Ivy, I found a mistake:

“I refused to quit trying. I was convicted that if I persisted, everything would eventually change”

I thought that by saying I was convicted, I had said something along the lines of I believed. It sounded right to me because conviction means belief. However, it turns out to not make sense at all…

The essay in entirety still makes sense and the admission officers will most likely understant what I’m trying to get at. But an error is an error so should I mail in a correct version with a short explanation saying I meant to say CONVINCED to clear up the misunderstanding??

I’m afraid that if i mail it in, they’ll think I’m careless, paranoid or not confident, especially if they will not even notice the error. But if I don’t mail in the correction, I feel like the mistake is so obvious that they will have doubts about my writing abilities.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO, PLEASE HELP!!
