Mistake on my acceptance letter?

I just received my acceptance letter from UW and I noticed an incorrect info on the letter they sent me.

I am a WA resident since 2007 and have had my green card since 2008.
Though I can’t look at my submitted app anymore, I’m certain that I’ve entered the green card # correctly.
However, on the letter and FA site, it says that I’m non-resident.
Did I make mistakes or did the admission office enter my info wrong?
I’m annoyed/stressed because I’m afraid that if the reason I was accepted was because of my out-of-state status (which is wrong) and if I correct it I will get denied or something…
I’ve already emailed both admission and FA offices, and I’m thinking about physically going to campus and talk to them but it will have to wait until Monday and I’m very impatient.

If anyone is knowledgeable in this field or have any kind of suggestions or comments, please post them below and let me know.

Thanks!

No idea but you can look at your submitted application, https://www.applyweb.com/apply/uwf/

You are fine. Just write them an email and tell them that u noticed a mistake and you want them to correct it.
"when i got accepted, i wasn’t listed as resident. i sent them an email and attached a copy of my driver licence, green card and told them to check my official transcripts. within 48 hours i got this email "resquest@u.washington.edu

Mar 22

to me
Hello,

An adjustment has been made on your database and you are now in as a resident.

Please respond to this email if there are any other questions or concerns. Thank you."

Omg nana17, you have no idea how relieved i am now! are you also an immigrant?

yes i am an immigrant. got my green card in 09.
the staff at UW are very nice and helpful.

Oh also, “resquest@u.washington.edu” was the email address you sent a copy of your drivers license and green card to? I just don’t wanna email the wrong office…

this is the info for residency classification

"Your questions about Washington
State residency should be directed to the Residence Classification Office at
resquest@u.washington.edu or mailed to:

Residence Classification Office
University of Washington, Box 355850
1410 NE Campus Parkway, 264 Schmitz Hall
Seattle, WA 98195-5850"

when see ur unofficial transcripts, what do u see; resident or non resident?

my unofficial transcripts online? it doesn’t say anywhere… where do i look? the only thing that states that im non-resident is my acceptance letter & financial aid

Basically, on my unofficial transcript on myUW, it just shows my student #, birth date, class, college, major, a blank status, and a cumulative credit summary that shows 0 on everything.

you will see it in the coming days. again, don’t worry about the mistake that they did. it can be easily fixed.

Ah… relief! I always think of the worst. I’ll write them with a copy of my state ID and green card now. Thank you so much nana17, you are my life saver.

Omg, the same thing happened to me too! I’m eligible for HB-1079 form and I turned it in with my application. Few days later, they sent me an email requesting additional documents to be sent which I did the next day. But it says I’m a non resident. I been living here since 2001 so I know for sure there is a mistake with my status. I’ll have to wait till monday to call them or something… Hopefully it can be easily fixed.

I didn’t even turn in any additional document to prove I’m a resident cuz I entered my green card info and thought that was all they needed.

Did you submit anything like that, nana17 (if you’re still reading this) or sending a copy with the email was all you did after you found out about you were listed as a non-resident?

i found out through my unofficial transcripts. i was listed as a non resident. i wrote uw an email saying that i am a wa state resident. i attached a copy of my green card, my driver license and i asked them to look at my official transcripts since they were from in state community college. and this email just solved it. if u have document to show them, then send it. if u don’t, try your parents and say that u live with them

or if u went to in state high school, then u are good

Do you remember if your acceptance letter also listed you as a nonresident? Cuz mine says so. Sorry I’m asking you so many questions!

i just checked my acceptance letter, and it didn’t say anything about my residency status. as i told u, i noticed that when they updated my profile on myuw. they listed my as non resident. all i did was that only email that i shot them, and they simply wrote me back that they changed it! (in previous post, i pasted the exact reply from uw)-

write them an email as soon as possible.it takes them 2 days to get back to you. you can try to call the and discuss the issue with them

Oops, I meant the packet not the acceptance letter. But either way I emailed them yesterday w a copy of the cards so hopefully I’ll hear from them soon. Thanks nana17!

Ahh dang it. The registration office contacted me saying I was not listed as a non-resident but I mist provide proof that I am a resident. I wish I had graduated from high school here!
