So do they stick to Pi day when it’s a Saturday?
I don’t see why not. Their EA decisions this year were released on a Saturday (Dec 14).
Thanks @Vulcan!
Thanks @HPuck35
Sorry I should’ve phrased my sentence better. « All » was meant as a hyperbole.
What I was trying to convey was:
As compared to other top US colleges, MIT seems to fill a lower percentage of the international students of its incoming class EA.
Can I know how many international students were admitted EA?
Has anyone received an email telling them the exact time of RD results?
@HYPSM2024 So do you mean that more international students are going to be accepted in the RD round?
MIT provides info on admittances once the RD round is completed. I don’t recall any info coming out after just the EA round.
EA admittances are those students who CLEARLY would be admitted. Deferred students are still some great students who will get admitted RD. I wouldn’t put a lot of study into whether one was admitted EA or RD.
They provide some info:

On international, sounds like there were some EA acceptances:
“These students hail from more than 500 high schools scattered across the globe, from Massachusetts to Malaysia and many places in between.”

I still haven’t gotten anything in my email about the release date. ugh
wait will decisions come out on 3/14 since of pi day?
I can’t imagine MIT will deviate from Pi day, Tau time. Plan on March 14 at 6:28 Pm eastern.
They said they’re supposed to give about a week’s notice, though. It’s less than a week at this point
you guys, its been 3/14 for so many years now, they’re not going to change the date
You never know, though, with corona in Boston, or perhaps they got more applicants than expected. Without official communication, we don’t know if it will be Saturday, especially considering that it would be in less than a week and we’ve heard nothing
straight from the MIT admissions website
“For the subset of prospective students who are current applicants awaiting their Regular Action decisions, we do not currently anticipate that this situation will impact our committee process or timeline.”
im a real one so i let life go as it goes, saturday or not
Decisions will be out on March 14 at 1:59 pm Eastern.

I hate that they made it earlier, I was ready for the evening >:(
Coping GaTech too! (Or maybe GaTech copied MIT…)
Did anyone get the email from MIT admissions that included the baby Yoda video advertising pi day?
