<p>One person I know has already got an interview from MIT-BCS (she’s an undergrad at MIT). Just think starting a thread to keep track of MIT’s admission timeline may be helpful to those of us who are waiting for any news.</p>

<p>I would imagine so…just like most other universities…no interview in Jan/early Feb would imply a rejection most likely</p>
<p>I’m an aero major. Interviews for graduate school are practically unheard of for us unless it’s after you’re admitted.</p>
<p>Oh I see…do ur POIs at least contact you beforehand to talk about the research? If so this is like a soft acceptance right?</p>
<p>Hmm, I’m not sure. I’m an applicant this year and haven’t talked to many graduate students about that part. I think i recall one telling me that he was contacted after he was admitted by the POI informing him of funding and research. I think they only judge you based on what you turn in before the deadline so everyone would receive the same opportunity in terms of applying.</p>
<p>OP, It seems the BCS weekend is March 7, 2014. Only 1 person on Gradcafe mentioned today that she was notified for an interview. Wish you the best this week.</p>
