<p>It’s been great! AP’s can be a killer, but oh well, it’s fine xD Been trying to enjoy senior year as much as possible. Obviously some MIT app fretting here and there, but nothing too big xD I’m just really excited about Thursday. My girlfriend is also applying EA, so it’d be super awesome if we both got in EA, however unlikely it is, haha. How’s your hiatus been? haha</p>

<p>It’s 7:47 pm on the west coast. The night is still young! And this final English essay must be completed before tomorrow morning… : )</p>
<p>The night’s a little grayer on the other coast, haha. Trying to write another supplement, but no creative juices a’flowin.</p>
<p>How does vacation work for you? </p>
<p>I have all my finals this week and then two weeks of winter break! Thus, I decided to work on school all this week and cram as many essays as possible once break starts. Procrastination for the win!</p>
<p>Soooo lucky D: A bunch of schools have next week off, but we’re going right up to Christmas Eve. We get Christmas Eve off, then a week, and then go back on the 3rd. It reaally sucks. We have midyears (which are our finals I guess, haha) at the end of January. I wish we had next week off, it would make life so much better.</p>
<p>Oh wow, Christmas Eve? Do you go to a private school? Because my public school district is too PC to have anything like that. In fact, all our holidays are super PC. In February we have Chinese New Year’s as a holiday, but it’s called “Lunar New Year” to accommodate the minorities of Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Tibetans, and Mongolians… And of course Columbus Day is no more. It’s Indigenous People’s day. : )</p>
<p>Nope, completely public, haha. I’m just thinking parents would be outraged if they made us go to school on Christmas Eve, haha. We have Lunar New Year I think as well. </p>

Good to hear. Yeah, I have just been going through the motions of my homework - managing to pull off As though (I don’t count AP Physics C lol, too hard), so I can’t really complain. I have about 12 supplements ready to go in case my EA (MIT, BC, UChicago) apps don’t work out. Otherwise, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends these past few months. Been having a blast. Haha, that’s pretty awesome, it would be too nice if you both got in. I’m actually the only one who applied from my school, so everyone has been rooting me on lately. We’ll see how it goes on Thursday!</p>
<p>Plus, my break starts on Dec. 17th and ends Jan. 3th, so I am really looking forward to that.</p>
<p>Very nice, very nice. Yea, I’m waiting on MIT for my other supplements too. I pulled off all A’s except Calc AB (material’s easy, teacher’s rough). I feel like my whole school’s rooting me on too, because everyone who knows I’m applying is excited for me, wants to know just as bad as I do, and would cry/be sadder than I would if I didn’t get in at all, haha. Makes me wish a group of students could write a recommendation xD Yep! Good luck to us all. Hopefully an early Christmas present for everybody :D</p>

<p>Tell me about it. I was taking a nap and woke up from anxiety and a really fast pulse. I was subconsciously worrying about MIT admissions…</p>
<p>So apparently MIT admissions called my guidance counselor last week…I don’t really know what that means. He said they just wanted to check up on my current grades.
Just out of curiosity, do they do that with everyone?
It seemed slightly ominous to me. :/</p>

<p>^ Is that all your guidance counselor said? Admissions will sometimes call guidance counselors for clarification on a grading system or presumably missing materials.</p>
<p>yup. just wanted to check on my current grades. I asked him if there was anything else they said and he said no. I even asked him if there was any hint of them leaning either way and he said they didn’t: “she (the admissions rep) was very straight forward.”</p>
