MIT Class of 2017/2018 for MITChris too

Hi everyone! I would just like to ask the general community of College Confidential about there thoughts on the two years of future MIT applicants. Do you think the students that are applying are going to be a lot more impressive, more impressive or around the same? Based on observations of your classmates, kids, as an admission officer and whoever :stuck_out_tongue: The reason I’m asking is because my friend says that students that are graduating high school in 2013/14 aren’t as smart as the ones that graduated 2011/12… Is this possibly a bit true? I know theres always going to be amazing, and smart people every year but thoughts? Thanks for reading!

No. It is not.

@Prototyped I’ve heard that about our class on CC, but at my school, we’re actually one of the most competitive classes our school has ever had. ^.^

@Lesley, well I attend a pretty competitive high school too and apparently all the smart seniors were mostly graduates of 2011/12 :stuck_out_tongue: and like just in general… I mean there’s always going to be the geniuses but I guess top tier schools like MIT would never run out of students to pick from the pool of applicants
