Hi guys,
I’m waiting for an MIT RD decision too…so here’s a little countdown clock I modified for our communal “benefit”. Let’s not bite our nails out, but it’s a nice novelty. Hope you enjoy it.

Does this take into account daylight savings time?

ohhh daylight savings, now that makes more sense.

yeah i think it’s one hour off… but still thanks for making that :)

“MIT has stated that it will release decisions at 1:59 PM EST on Sunday, March 14th (3.14159…).”

The statement is wrong. EDT , not EST

On the email I got, it said EDT
When decisions are released Sunday at 1:59pm EDT , simply visit <a href=“https://decisions.mit.edu %5B/url%5D”>https://decisions.mit.edu and log in using the same username and password that you use to log into your MyMIT account. There are no interim screens, so you should be sure you are ready to receive your decision online before logging in to decisions.mit.edu.

I’m so ashamed of this. What does this mean?

There are no interim screens, so you should be sure you are ready to receive your decision online before logging in to decisions.mit.edu.

It just means that you won’t have any kind of “Click here to see your decision!” page after you log in. As soon as you hit “log in” and it loads, you’ll see your decision. Basically, there’s no filler.

I didn’t get that email. Does not getting the email mean anything?

As we already discussed in tons of topics, No!

lol i like how they have to say “there are no interim screens, so be prepared to receive you’re decision” as if its a life or death verdict

I think the no interim screen is a good idea. But, just to throw people off, I woudn’t let them know that there will be no interim screen it adds to the surprise.

Oops, sorry…forgot about DST. Is it an hour early (i.e. the correct time is one hour more than what’s currently being shown)?

Even better would be if they told everyone there is an interim screen, then people would be really surprise!
