This week I was contacted by an MIT alumni to schedule an interview although my interview appeared waived in MyMIT account, since I am an international student and there are few ECs in my country. Is it normal for this to happen during this time?

It’s not normal, but it’s not bizarre, either. It’s up to your local educational council to decide when they want to stop offering interviews. Fortunately, international students won’t be read and selected until the end of February, so your interview report will arrive in time to contribute to your application.</p>

I sent the IDOC packet at the beginning of this week (W-2s came late), but the CollegeBoard said it requires 7-8 days for it to be processed. Is this going to violate the Feb. 15 financial aid deadline?

The deadline should be a submission/postmark deadline, not a processing deadline. You’ll be fine.</p>
