I couldn’t figure how could interviews be selective when the deadline for contacting the interviewer is 10th of December, which means that not all apps have been received. And I can’t figure out where could it be selective given how interviews are assigned, which is quoted from MIT’s website:
You will receive your Educational Counselor’s (EC) name and contact information via your MyMIT account.
Please note that, unlike many other schools, at MIT you must contact your interviewer! If you are applying during Early Action, you must contact your interviewer by October 20th; Regular Action applicants must contact their interviewers by December 10
If, however, what you “heard” makes you believe “without doubts” that MIT’s website is incorrect, then that is totally up to you to believe as you wish!
