i am just wondering:

is building a neural network from scratch a big deal? like not using any libraries or anything but with your code only? how would mit look at that…i’m just wondering if its a big deal or if its not really smth that special bc/ depending on that ill emphasize that its built from scratch

MIT likely sees everything, including the building of a neural network - even from scratch. That would not keep me from mentioning it. Emphasizing it, assuming you mean making it the focus, probably not.
