Hey all,
I’m a student at McMaster University in Canada, in Biomedical and Electrical engineering. I’m really interested in Bioelectrical Eng at MIT. Nice thing is no GREs required, but what about these TOEFL and IELTS, I speak English pretty good (jks) so would I still need these tests? I’m also looking at other universities, preferably as close to the border as possible, for bioelectrical engineering. I don’t plan on doing pure biomedical because that would make my electrical degree go to waste. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. My interest fields include Parkinson’s, Deep Brain Stimulation, and Cochlear Implants.

As long as your native language is English I don’t think you’d be required to take English proficiency exams.

As for stuff near the border, be sure to check schools like RPI and Cornell in upstate NY as well as CMU in Pittsburgh (one of my good friends there was from Toronto and had a shorter ride home than I did, and I lived in PA), and possibly even Case Western in Cleveland.
