That’s about it so far as I know. Tell me what you think about MIT and me. Ahahaha

ACT and SAT are wonderful and 1000+ community service hours is definitely amazing. However your GPA looks on the low side (not that low, by the way) and your EC’s lack a bit. What I mean is I couldn’t see any trends in your EC’s. What do you like to do? In which subject areas do you stand out EC wise? Do you have any leadership experiences? If not, maybe you should expend on the community service you did at the medical center (internship, research project, etc.). If you are a senior however, it may be too late for you.

At this point, I would say MIT is not very realistic for you.

You have a good chance.

@Saucetrays In your other thread [url=<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/math-computer-science-majors/1867591-computer-science-ap-chem-vs-ap-phsysics-and-other-help-with-classes-please.html#latest%5Dhere%5B/url”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/math-computer-science-majors/1867591-computer-science-ap-chem-vs-ap-phsysics-and-other-help-with-classes-please.html#latest]here[/url], you said you were wondering whether to take AP Chem or Physics, or Stats/CS. So I can’t tell which of these items is real, and which of them are made up or projected.

If what you said here is true, then, while the grades and test scores are great, the EC’s really lack and don’t show much initiative. I highly recommend applying to safety schools.

I did one for myself and one for my friend.

@Saucetrays you should state so; otherwise we are confused.

If the above post represents you, then it’s really a crapshoot. Grades and test scores are good, but I’m not exactly sure what you want to study, why you want to study at MIT, or why MIT should accept you. Not saying you won’t get accepted, but it seems unlikely unless there’s something else that stands out that we don’t know. I’m speaking as an MIT student who knows many dozens of other students.

Also, you need a math and a science subject test score, and we have no indication whether you took them.

@Saucetrays That doesn’t make sense about your other thread. If you were deciding between chem and physics (and your friend was asking about cs/stats), you shouldn’t have an ap score for physics. If you were asking about cs/stats (and your friend was asking about physics/chem), you shouldn’t have an ap score for stats or comp sci. Please clarify if I’m misinterpreting something.
