yeah but you also have to realize that everyone that gets a letter or acceptance is going to actually go, that’s why they are having a deadline of apr. 13 so those that I guess that are on thewaitelist they can accept. But I do understand where everyone is saying, so it is what it is until we get the finally confirmation. But this is really ridiculous with the letters I just want to know whether I’m accepted or not so i can focus on other things.

I feel they should email their rejections, mass mailing is expensive but mass emailing is a simple click…

Yeah, the express mail for my Fly-In cost them $16.50 and I think someone else said their letter cost them $17.50. Email would work soooo much better.

Let’s hope for the best, BlackRose.

Hope Good Friday is actually good : /

yeah lol I almost forgot that tomorrow is Good Friday. Yeah let’s hope for the best Ansar

I’m in Miami too and i’m dying to find out if I got in. It’s been on my mind for the longest while and it’s bugging me that other people have found out already. Btw…what school do you attend…I’m at MAST Academy.

Ah, so that makes two of us in Miami…
that gives me some hope :)

In Doral here.

Here’s last year’s thread where kids were accepted around the 10th.
Only six/seven kids from CC got accepted. The pattern is kinda similar to this year, some kids got it early and everybody else waited until the 15th and some still got nothing. I saw nothing about california, meaning the kids from cali probably dont go on CC. Hate to break it, but I guess the rest of us are probably rejected. :\
There were 1000 applicants this year, hence the few kids in CC that got in.

ah well, time to move on guys. I guess they sent everything out early this year.

hey guys is any of you from Wisconsin? I still haven’t heard anything from them yet. I tried to email them but they didn’t respond. they notified me they would send out decision on
april 15th. but I doubt it. what do you guys think? did they send all the acceptance already?
I was accepted to SSP, but I really want to go to MITES more!!

Hey everyone! I am from Colorado and I got my acceptance letter last Tuesday. I am excited but a little scared…

yeah well the fat lady hasn’t sung yet. lol I just felt like saying that. I mean someone said they got a letter in May so there is a chance but if I get other acceptance letters to other summer programs I think I might have to call them. I know last year at a certain point in the month they actually told you if you called, but that was on a rare occasion.

i dont get it though, if they mailed everything out at once… i should have already gotten a rejection letter. :

maybe rejection letters are not express mail, thats why it takes so long. i mean, if we were accepted the acceptance letters would have come sooner. 5 days is not enough time to decide whether or not you would want to attend.

@futurexreject: Why would they spend $17 on a rejection letter? Rejection letters are snail mails man. I’ll try to email them again…
@kadaz: Is it a great coincidence that both of us are from Colorado or just a cruel joke?

Im getting a bit panicky… im trying to contact them through email… haven’t replied… i think im gunna send it through mail express… thats like $20

or maybe call them… ?!

On another notes you all can hope that some of us arn’t able to send it or someone sends it accidentally through snail mail… hahaha… that would suck.

keep in mind that some of the acceptees might go to RSI instead…

Hmm…yeah…perhaps the rejections were sent through snail mail… : /

does mail come today even though it is Good Friday?

Well, it’s been Holy Week this whole week and it’s not like Good Friday is some kind of national holiday, so mail should be coming today.

yes I’m pretty sure they deliver mail on Good Friday.

I realized I kinda screwed up my apps. I should’ve put more awards on it. I got national commendable scholar and chem Olympiad 3rd in my regional right after I sent out my apps. it is just a pity I can’t inform they about those anymore…

I GOT THE MAIL.

And you were right… : / I didn’t get accepted.
BUT I GOT PUT ON THE WAITLIST!

Either way, I guess it’s better than nothing. Now to wait for May 20 >_> (though I doubt anyone is going to reject the program…)
